Happy 2011!

I started the new year at a nice small party with friends from theater, and Donald and Mike. We had a good time. :)

What I'm doing/ have done lately:

I re-read all 7 Harry Potter books during tech and the run of Christmas Carol. The first few books are familiar and comfortable, then by the end parts were like new since it had been awhile. I was left wanting more. Hopefully JK Rowling will write some more in the Potterverse someday. I'm kicking myself for not jumping on an after Thanksgiving sale on the DVD collection of the first 6 movies. I only have the 2nd movie on DVD.

It's all Harry Potter all the time over here, I'm currently playing Lego Harry Potter. :) As a big fan of Lego Star Wars, I'm loving this game. It's totally cute, and well designed. It's a fun look at the world from sort of another angle.

Donald and I are both reading Brandon Sanderson's The Way of Kings. I've been working on it for quite awhile, it's a long book and I started it sometime back in November then set it aside for the HP re-read. It's not a fast read at all, but I'm in no hurry. 2010 was a good year of reading for me. I read 64 books. They were short, long, fantasy, sci-fi, fiction, some comic collections, some crappy YA stuff- a good variety.

We've been watching Weeds on Netflix instant. It's pretty entertaining even though at this point, 4 seasons in, the original premise has pretty much fallen by the wayside and now it's mostly Nancy Makes Bad Life Decisions. She sure has a knack for getting out of trouble! In real life she'd have been in jail ages ago. Pretty entertaining stuff. :)
