As we went down the back porch stairs, Jon heard chittering. A chipmunk was stuck in there, so I went for the door to let it out. Then it chased me, zipping around very fast making an angry chipmunk noise. Everybody else had gone, so it was just me and the chipmunk in the huge yard. It chased me and I hopped up onto a fence to get away from it. It kept chasing me as I got off the fence and tried to get closer to the house. Once I fell, and felt something furry by my hand. I grabbed it, (it was the chipmunks tail,) and threw the chipmunk away from me- then ran for the back door. Chipmunk was still chasing. I made it to the door, the stupid chipmunk went back in the porch, and then I woke up.
One dream interpretation website says this about chipmunks:
chipmunk Curiosity, trust, and the balance between trust and caution. Playfulness. Darting from side to side (as in being flexible in your opinions). Dreaming of this animal can represent:
- Having too much of one of these qualities, or that you could benefit by being less this way
- Not having enough of one of these qualities, or that you could benefit by being more like this
- Someone or something in your real life with whom you associate one of these qualities (an event, situation, threat, etc.)
And this about being chased:
being chased
If you dream someone is chasing you, consider the context.
If the chaser wants to harm you, this can represent a feeling or fear of: persecution, hostility, aggression, criticism, etc. by another person or by "people in general." It can also represent real-life situation where you feel your boundaries have been crossed or your integrity has been compromised.
If someone who likes you is playfully chasing you, it could represent your perception that they like you or might want to know you better.
So there we have it. :)
