suddenly employed

I got called out of the blue to ALD at the Lyric today. I'm not sure yet if this is a good thing, but it should at least be a profitable thing. The assisting part should be fine. The rest of it, where I have to do stuff that the ME should do, is the part I'm not so sure about. I'm told that I have to watch the guys to make sure they do what they're supposed to. So, I guess I'm babysitting IATSE guys? I sure hope that was exaggerated. They seem to be generally disorganized. That won't be fun.

Hey I wonder if I were to post a blog about not being jobified, would I get jobified a few days later? What about not winning the lottery? Maybe I should try it, oh and YIPPEEE on the new gig. Just keeping reminding yourself that you are getting paid.

Oh, I'm assuming I'll get paid, since I did the last time. We haven't actually talked about it yet. UGh, unprofessional.

IATSE's the stagehands union. International Association somethin' something' somethin'.

If they give you any trouble, just eat their cars.
