Day 6

I finally did something where I felt actually useful. Yesterday, Don drew the light plot for the next theater this show is going to, in Phoenix. In many ways, the Phoenix plot is very similar to this one. We printed it out this morning, in pieces and taped them together since they don't have a plotter. I took the lightwright from here, and adapted it to match the plot for Phoenix. Mainly, I went position by position on the new plot, found the channel in LW, then changed the position, unit number, and sometimes instrument type. That took much of the morning. And was kind of fun. I found a few glitches between the two, asked Don about them, then updated the plot too. He uses a Vectorworks add on called Autoplot, which I imagine is kinda like Autoblock is for AutoCAD. Well, I don't have that so editing his plot is slow and I have to do everything manually. The other version of the plot is much easier to edit using Spotlight.

P.S. My pocket knife is hella gone. goddammit.
