Whew!

It was a great weekend, and I want to thank everybody. Especially Donald for being all Donald-like. I was so glad to see the out-of-town people, especially those that I hadn't seen in a long long time. Our families did great jobs helping us with all the details. My mom planned the hell out of this thing. It was a pretty stress-free day, all told.

So we're married! :) There were no major bumps in the process, except that we forgot the license. That was easily solved, since Joe hadn't left the house yet. He located the pretty important piece of paper, and brought it to us. We were planning the do the ceremony outside, but ended up cancelling that idea because it was just a little too cool for old people to be outside. It was snug, but I assume everyone fit comfortably for the ceremony. I wasn't really paying attention to them, after all.

Getting ready was amusing. Robyn and Denise and I got all made up and fixed our hair first. Then there were 3 men changing into tuxes while a recently arrived Joe took a shower. As the various guys came out of various doors, there was much buttoning and adjusting and straightening.

The ceremony went well, dinner was great, and everyone loved the Italian wedding cookies. Donald and I chatted with just about everybody there. It's a weird thing, to invite a hundred people to see you do something, and then you barely have time to say hello to all of them.

Monday we did a group trip to return tuxes. We also did some shopping, while the guys did some standing-around-waiting. And shopping. We ended the day with dinner, then our friends all went their seperate ways. Donald and I did a bit of laundry, watched some TV, and went to bed early.

It was a very enjoyable but long weekend. I really don't want to go back to normal life again. I always say that, but I think after this I'm justified to want to rest some! Today I've been doing laundry. The day's gone by so fast! I just heard Donald's car door out back and looked at the clock. How is it possible that it's 7:15 already?
